Founded in 1889, De La Salle Institute is a Catholic high school offering an outstanding college preparatory education in a co-institutional environment that transcends the classroom. Two gender-based campuses set De La Salle apart from every other school in Chicago. With an emphasis on academics, the students reach their highest potential at one of two single-gender campuses. ​International Student Application Through CornerstoneDe La Salle Institute operating under the auspices of the Archdiocese of Chicago admits students of any race, color, sex, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally available to students at the school. A student must be able to fit into the school’s religious and academic program. (Students may choose to apply to De La Salle Institute independently or through Cornerstone Education)

TO APPLY THROUGH CORNERSTONE:

• Students will be evaluated prior to application consideration, as other schools may be more suitable for the student. Students will be asked to fill out the initial (Step 1) Evaluation Form and schedule an in-person or phone interview with our Program Director, Prenicia Clifton. Based on the results of the evaluation, students may also be required to take assessment tests in the following subjects: Math, Science, English Reading, Writing, and Grammar. 
• If qualified, the student will be asked to complete the International Student Application form and submit the following documents: 
  • ​Bilingual Transcripts (please email them to our Admissions Office with the email titled the Student's full name
  • Bank Statement
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation are not required but will be accepted as part of the application.
• After the student information has been reviewed, the Administration will make a determination of the admissibility of the student and the guardian will be notified of that decision.

IF ACCEPTED
The school will provide Cornerstone Education the student's Acceptance Letter and begin the I-20 Application process for an F-1 Visa. All students enrolled must participate in the Tablet PC program which includes the purchase/lease of the Tablet offered through De La Salle Institute.
